The starting date for this event has passed. Some events are ongoing, check the dates and information below to see if you can still attend.
The Circle of Security Parenting program, is run in partnership with Many Rivers Family Violence Prevention Unit and Durri Medical service.
ALL PARENTS AND CARERS WELCOME
In this program, we look at how a child Circle of Security is so important so they can explore and develop.
Children’s needs are mostly hidden, hidden in plain sight so this is why it requires parents to be attentive to all their needs.
We look at how relationships are the foundations for the construction of identity with a child, and how this is fundamental to children’s emotional well being and social development.
The Circle of Security parenting program provides us with a map that draws a very clear link between the emotional availability of the adult and the child’s social and emotional learning. However when this need for feeling safe and secure in the company of others is compromised a child may feel threatened and frightened.
The circle of Security has 3 parts to it, Top, Bottom and the Hands. This is a beautiful program that is all about Love and wonderful attachments from parent to child.
This program is run one on one, each session goes for one hour or less.
