Making Your Work, Work for Aboriginal Families & Communities - Workshop #1: Cultural Awareness, Competency and Safety

Gain knowledge and improve your understanding of working with people in culturally safe and competent ways. This workshop is a great introduction or refresher for those wanting to better support and work with Aboriginal families and communities.

This workshop also aligns with the FACS Targeted Earlier Intervention priority of increasing and improving access to culturally safe services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.

Learning Outcomes:

#Increased knowledge and understanding of the concepts of cultural awareness, competency and safety.
#Increased confidence to engage with and work with people with diverse cultural values, beliefs and aspirations.
#Increased capacity to apply the concepts of strengths based and reflective practice to your use of culturally safe practice.
